# User Management

## Users can access the Percent Pledge platform via SSO, an HRIS integration, or by manually uploading a CSV file.

### **Creating Employee Accounts through Manual Upload**

To create employee accounts on Percent Pledge, upload a CSV file of all employees, which will initiate a welcome email. We suggest doing this on a weekly or quarterly interval to make sure all new hires have accounts and are being engaged. This will provide accurate employee data and boost engagement across the platform. 

To upload an employee file, simply: 

1. Prepare a simple CSV file that includes first name, last name, and email address. You can download an [employee file template](https://knowledgebase.percentpledge.org/hubfs/employee_import_example.csv?hsLang=en) here.
2. Log into Percent Pledge
3. Hover over 'Admin Dashboard' and select 'User Management'
4. Select ‘Invite Users’
5. Set the date for when you’d like a welcome email to be sent to team members.\*
6. Upload the CSV file of your latest employee list.
7. Click 'Create New Users'\*\*
8. A welcome email will be sent to employees inviting them to join the platform and start giving!

*\*link to set up an account in the welcome will expire after 3 days. Be sure to set the send date accordingly.* 

*\*\*duplicate accounts will not be created during this upload and users who already exist will not receive a welcome email*

You can also share a link to your Percent Pledge Platform for employees to create their own accounts and passwords using their work email address. 

**If you have the HRIS integration**, you will not need to do this step. Accounts will automatically be created and welcome emails sent as soon as your HRIS administrator connects the platforms and the first sync occurs.
